Planting Pinwheels for Prevention

March 31, 2018

During Child Abuse Prevention month, you will see blue and silver pinwheels “growing” across Frederick County. Pinwheels are the national symbol of a child abuse prevention. These whimsical reminders of childhood remind us that we each play an important role in making sure every child grows up free of abuse and neglect. Wear Blue Friday

April 6, 2018

Blue is the memorial ribbon color used to honor victims of child abuse. Wear blue anywhere and everywhere — to work, to play, to school, to a community event, and at home. Don that blue shirt, tie or cap, blue jeans or whatever blue works for you!  Then show your blue by taking a selfie or a group photo. Challenge your friends and colleagues to do the same.  Click this link for more information: Wear Blue Friday
