Wear Blue Friday

Calling on Frederick County businesses, schools and colleges, churches, government and non-profit agencies, other organizations, and individuals to show your blue!

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month. One way you can show your support for our children is by wearing blue on Friday, April 7-Wear Blue Friday. Blue is the memorial ribbon color used to honor victims of child abuse.

Wear Blue anywhere and everywhere-to work, to play, to school, to a community event, and at home. Don that blue shirt, tie or cap, blue jeans or whatever blue works for you!

Then show your blue by taking a selfie, a group photo, outside or inside your office. Challenge your friends and colleagues to do the same. And while you are showing your support, plant a Pinwheels for Prevention Garden.

Email your photo and captions to Friends of the Child Advocacy Center.  We’ll post it on our FaceBook page.  There will be awards for the most creative post and the photo with the most likes so get ready to show your blue.
