The Director's Corner
With over 300 children served by the Center in 2022, our director is reminded why the services we provide are so incredibly important.
See From the Director’s Desk to read about the numerous innovative and life-changing services provided by the CAC to the children impacted by abuse or maltreatment.
From a caregiver on what she appreciates about the CAC:
"Everything from the welcoming atmosphere, the in-depth explanation of resources available, and the friendly/approachable attitude of the workers."
Letter from Heiress
Heiress, our amazing therapy dog, has been busy accompanying children at forensic interviews and building awareness for abuse prevention in local libraries. She has even been seen escorting children to court.
In order to help other CACs bring K-9 comfort to stressful situations, Heiress and her handler are flying to California to present at a National Conference.
Holiday Gift Program
84 children from 36 families, who are currently clients of the Center were provided gifts to help make a joy-filled holiday thanks to our community and the Friends of the CAC.
